HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College held a mock shooter drill at its Henrico campus Tuesday morning, complete with someone playing the role of a gunman with a prop gun.
Organizers hope the mock incident will help prepare the police in case there is a real emergency on campus.
"There's always room for improvement," said JSRCC Police Chief Garth Wheller, "That's what this training is all about - to identify any weaknesses and to identify any strengths and to see how we can improve upon that."
J. Sargeant Reynolds held a similar mock shooter drill on its Western Campus in October.
