DENVER (AP) - Marcus Johansson and Evgeny Kuznetsov each had a goal and an assist in the Washington Capitals' 5-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday night. Jay Beagle, John Carlson and Lars Eller also netted goals for the Caps. Mikko Rantanen and Matt Nieto had the Colorado goals.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - J.J. Redick scored a season-high 31 points Wednesday night as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Washington Wizards 133-124. Redick also tied a season best with seven 3-pointers. John Wall led the Wizards with 41 points and Bradley Beal added 27.

TORONTO (AP) - Marco Belinelli scored 21 points and Kemba Walker had 19 Wednesday night in the Charlotte Hornets' 110-106 victory against the Toronto Raptors. The Hornets went 8-of-10 from 3-point range in the fourth quarter, and they finished the night 16-of-32 beyond the arc. DeMar DeRozan led the Raptors with 28 points.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (AP) - NASCAR rookie Daniel Suarez has a new crew chief. Joe Gibbs Racing says crew chief Dave Rogers is out indefinitely on personal leave. Scott Graves will now call the shots for the No. 19 Toyota in the Cup series. Suarez won the second-tier Xfinity Series championship last season.
