Posted by Shawn Maclauchlan

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - New information on plans to move the Carytown Place project forward.

The Times-Dispatch reports that a Richmond City council committee voted to support plans for the proposed Carytown development.

The committee voted 2-1 to approve a change to the city's master plan that would allow retail on the entire property.

Now the topic will move on to a city council vote.

Council is scheduled to address the proposal at its meeting next Monday.
