RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) – Controversy continues to surround a fight a Manchester high school in Chesterfield County that students have said was the result of issues involving race.

School officials say the altercation was an isolated incident and not indicative of a bigger problem between students of different backgrounds.

Education specialist Dr. Bill Bosher joined NBC12 to discuss this controversy. See the video at right for the full discussion.

Q: If the students there claim that race played a role in this fight, is the school district ignoring a problem?

Q: As a school principal, how important is it, to quell these problems before they get out of control?

Q: How difficult is it to manage young people that do come from backgrounds that are so different?
