RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - New information has been released on the whereabouts of Morgan Harrington after she left a Metallica concert at the John Paul Jones Jones arena the night she disappeared.

Based on witness accounts, investigators are confident Harrington was hitchhiking for a ride on the Copeley Road bridge in Charlottesville.

This is additional information to a previous released timeline.

Police have said after Harrington ended up outside of the arena around 8:30 p.m., she walked through the University Hall and Lannigan Field parking lots, both on the campus of University of Virginia.  Around 9:30 p.m., she was seen walking on Copeley Road bridge near Ivy Road.  Investigators are now asking if anyone may have seen a young woman hitchhiking or a vehicle stopping in the area to contact them.

Morgan Harrington has been missing since October 17.  She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with the word “Pantera” spelled out in tan letters, black mini-skirt, black tights, and knee-high black boots, she was wearing a distinctive necklace. It is a Swarovski Crystal necklace made up of large crystal chain links. She is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.
