Liberty fires assistant prof accused of sex crime

LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) - A Liberty University spokesman says an instructor has been fired after being charged with a undisclosed sex crime.

Lynchburg General District Court records show assistant math professor Joshua Young Moon was charged with object sexual penetration by force Thursday. Moon is scheduled for arraignment next Friday.

Liberty spokesman Johnnie Moore confirmed Moon's firing and declined to release further information on the case.
