LEESBURG, Va. (AP) - One house for sale in Leesburg comes with a catch - the buyer has to pay to relocate it.
The Loudoun Country Day School is moving to a new campus this summer and leaving behind an eight-acre lot, which will become home for a new assisted-living residence. The facility will be built on land where the school's old farmhouse stands.
Officials with H.H. Hunt, a Blacksburg company, is trying to sell the 2,500 square-foot house. But the buyer has to remove the house from the site to make way for the new residence facility.
School officials have used the house for offices and after-school programs. They acknowledge it isn't in great shape and requires significant work.
If no one comes forward to buy - and move it - the house could be up for demolition.
