Juvenile arrested in Florida over social media threat to Hanover High
New Orleans Police say a Metro PCS store was robbed at gunpoint Friday evening in the Leonidas neighborhood.

HANOVER, VA (WWBT) - A male juvenile from Florida was arrested in connection with a social media threat against Hanover High School.

Deputies confirm the threat was made over social media regarding the 2019 Festival of Choirs at Hanover High School, which concluded this weekend.

The threat was made March 16, prompting deputies to respond to the school. The sheriff’s office determined that the threat was not credible but upped deputy presence out of precaution.

Through the help of SHIELD, which is a nationwide law enforcement partnership, and the Clay County (FL) Sheriff’s Office, deputies located the suspect, who is a resident of Orange Park, FL.

The suspect has been charged with communicating a written threat.
