RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The Virginia Department of Treasury urges Virginia residents to find unclaimed property.
The Department has returned over $760 million dollars in unclaimed money.
The unclaimed treasures can come in handy for the holiday season.
“This Division is here to reunite citizens with their missing money, their unclaimed property that the state has, so our goals is to surpass that $79.6 million dollar number,” said Diana Shaban, Department of Treasury public relations and marketing manager.
The Department currently has $2 billion in unclaimed money waiting to be claimed by the rightful owners.
