HANOVER, VA (WWBT) - Two lanes of I-95 south have reopened in Hanover County after a tractor-trailer ran off the road.

Images from a Virginia Department of Transportation camera show a tractor-trailer in the median with emergency vehicles responding to the crash.

Officials said the driver suffered from a medical emergency and drifted off the road into the median.

The driver was taken to the hospital but there is no word on extent of injuries.

State police said the truck damaged nearly 100 feet of the guard rail.

At one point, there was a traffic back-up of 7 miles.
