RICHMOND, VA (WWBT/WXIX) - While Black Friday and Cyber Monday are certainly the biggies in terms of holiday hype, there are some other big shopping days in the weeks ahead!
Green Monday happens on December 10th.
This one was dreamed up by eBay more than a decade ago. eBay noticed an uptick in orders that day, likely from shoppers trying to get their gifts purchased in time to ship them.
But eBay isn’t the only retailer to hold a sale on Green Monday.
Last year, Target offered $20 off for every $100 spent that day.
Then there’s Free Shipping Day coming on December 14th this year. More than 1000 merchants will take part in this one, offering free shipping with no minimum purchase, and a guarantee to get your orders delivered by Christmas!
And last but not least is Super Saturday. That’s the last Saturday before Christmas, or December 22nd this year.
That’s when procrastinators flood stores and malls in a last minute dash to finish, or start, their shopping!
Given the timing, just a few days before Christmas, those Super Saturday deals will mostly be found in brick and mortar stores, rather than online.
