Chesterfield fire truck hit by vehicle

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Another Chesterfield fire truck was rear-ended while working early Saturday morning.

Officials said the incident happened around 2:27 a.m. along I-95 near the Chippenham Parkway.

Engine 17 was working when a vehicle ran into the back left end of the truck.

On Nov. 28, Chesterfield’s Engine 11 was rear-ended while responding to the scene of a crash.

In October, Hanover Firefighter Lt. Brad Clark was killed while on duty responding to an accident on 1-295.

A short while late, a Virginia State Police car was rear-ended, not far from where Lt. Clark was killed while responding to an accident.

First responders are once again urging drivers to slow down and move over when approaching emergency vehicle.
